What is disperse printed fabric?
Disperse printed fabric refers to a type of fabric that has been printed using the disperse printing method. Disperse printing is a technique commonly used to apply vibrant and detailed designs onto synthetic fibers, particularly polyester. It involves the use of disperse dyes, which are specially formulated dyes that have a low solubility in water but high solubility in organic solvents.
In the disperse printing process, the disperse dyes are first dispersed in a carrier fluid, creating a suspension. The fabric is then immersed or padded in this dye suspension or printed using specialized printing equipment. Next, the fabric is subjected to heat and pressure, typically through a heat transfer process or by passing it through a heated chamber, which causes the disperse dyes to sublime or convert from a solid to a gas state. The gas then penetrates the fibers of the fabric, where it cools and solidifies, resulting in the desired printed design.
